Artist's Comments
This is the first of a series of illustrations I did for a good friend of mine. Her public entertaining company was working on a deal with the Quebec aquarium so she asked me to do character designs for them. The main idea was that the actors played a crew of fishermen who were stuck in ice during a storm fifty years ago, and they just recently thawed out. However, they all suffer humorous consequences from their frozen state...
This is Capitaine Babord (babord is the french word for the port side of a boat). After he got defrosted he lost all notion of time... Hilarity ensues. Oh... and they got the gig. Score one for me! |
